The reason euthanasia will soon be legal in the UK is not because they want people to have dignity in death, it's because they want the elderly and disabled to die early to ease pressure on the NHS.

And … the economic damage is not the worst part of Brexit. Speak to anyone involved in the diplomatic world and they will tell you that British influence is severely diminished. And that is a very bad thing indeed in an increasingly unstable world. How anyone in government with half a brain could have advocated this path is beyond me.

It seems to me that the Conservative Party’s strategy is to bury their heads in the sand until after the election, at which point they will blame the in-coming Labour government for the (escalating) consequences of Brexit and claim that it would have been fine if only we had a Conservative government.

Denmark has some of the highest tax rates in the world. They use taxes to make sure ordinary people have access to vast high-quality public services. The Danish people consistently report as among the happiest in the world. Strange how they can use higher taxes to improve lives.
