This is EXACTLY why #WidowsBay is so huge—it’s not just the excellence of the acting or the writing or the directing, but the fact that it is doing something new, and in an era of tired remakes, audiences are starved of originality. Bravo, Katie Dippold.

Apple buying MotionVFX is very annoying as I've bought many plugins over the years and would like to buy another title template one but it's only Final Cut now Where are Davinci Resolve users getting well designed fun titles / effects? I basically need some anime vibe titles

NEW LONG FORM VIDEO: The rise and fall of Target $50 billion. That’s how much Target’s value dropped in just three years after being named America’s most beloved retailer. You might assume the reason is competition from Walmart or pressure from Amazon. But the real cause is more complicated, and it’s something most people don’t want to talk about. This is the rise and fall of Target.

I have a theory that if you were a teenager between 1998 and 2004, you accidentally became insanely high-agency.

There were no streaming services. No $9.99 Spotify or Disney+ to get what you want. If you wanted entertainment, you had to become a cyber criminal.  Do you know how complicated it was to just get access to music, movies and porn? Every day after school I was bootlegging Dane Cook comedy sets, learning bodybuilding from obscure internet forums, and if my mom picked up the home phone line, the entire internet would disconnect.

Shoutout to my fellow late 1980s kids, we unknowingly did navy-seal style training on how to hack the internet to get what you want.

The dunks on the McDonald’s CEO remind me how many people have had their brains fried by consuming too many videos of influencers orgasming while they bite into food, and so they think a normal / leaning awkward CEO is some sort of a phony freak.
McFranchisee@McFranchisee

This video will probably get half a billion views, worth millions in free advertising. It’s like getting a Super Bowl commercial for free. I bet @McDonalds will sell at the high end of the range because of this. It officially drops tomorrow. BTW, can’t wait to see Chris’s next video.

Going direct only works when it’s authentic Really kills the mood if it feels like the CEO’s blinking in Morse code So much of this is forced: 1) fake off the bat, with the exaggerated surprise at the size of the burger and presence of onions. Are we to believe he has never tested or even seen this burger before? 2) “I love this product” 🙃 should’ve just gone ahead and called it a SKU 3) the fries propped up facing outward adds to the staged vibe. We know they’re McDonald’s fries, we don’t need to see the properly oriented logo, be chill 4) the ™️ after “Big Arch” in the captions is further giving corpo slop 5) overhyping the size (“I don’t even know how to attack it”) backfires to make it seem underwhelming. It’s respectable but not in the top quartile of burgers by size; this is America 6) “patties, sauce, some lettuce — there’s so much going on with this burger” OK but for the record, that is approximately the bare minimum going on for something to qualify as a burger The only part that felt unscripted was him using the Lord’s name in vain while pretending to be awed by the size of the burger. Unnecessary; take that to Ben and Jerry’s

McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski goes viral after seeming reluctant to eat his own burgers—he takes a tiny bite, looks uncomfortable, and calls the food ‘product.’ 👀 🍔 😳

In 40 years, it had never rained during the Super Bowl. On the day of 41st the heavens opened up and poured down hard. Because everything on the stage were live instruments and the stage floor was slick with water for he and his dancers, they asked Prince what did he want to do about the performance. Prince replied, “can you make it rain harder?” Long live Prince. The greatest halftime performance in Super Bowl history.
spicebae@spicebae_

hands down, Rihanna had the greatest Super Bowl half time performance and it's not close.

I like the Paramount+ app however I have always had an issue minimizing the screen while watching on the phone. If you swipe out you can’t keep watching like on YT or Netflix or E+. Anyone know if this is possible? I’m very spoiled.
