I don’t think the higher ups will get a bigger sign that players are no longer with Slot. Salah may be leaving, but he’s a leader in the club, and there’s no way he’s alone in his thinking. Several players already liking and commenting.

I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that. Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it. Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games. Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on. As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.

Souness was sacked after finishing on 60 points, Evans was demoted after finishing on 65 points, Houllier was sacked after 60 points, Rafa was sacked after 63 points, Rodgers was sacked a couple months after finishing on 62 points. We have 59 points.@TheKopHQ @indykaila

@BenPatrizi Post Everton there was a world where we ended the season with a bit of a flourish, saw some green shoots from Isak and Wirtz and it might've been acceptable to try and give him the benefit of the doubt. The ship's sailed now.

They should just announce mutual consent departure at the end of the season this week and let it all end amicably next Sunday. We'd probably be more likely to win if that burden isn't hanging over us.

The difference in cohesion, organisation and intensity between Villa and Liverpool is night & day. One looks like a team, the other disorganised & directionless (Ngumoha apart) a very big summer ahead for Liverpool #AVLLIV

I just can’t believe I’m seeing people pin tonight on Slot. An inferior 11 away to a team with fortune in their side and we still bossed the game for periods. It’s been a microcosm of the season too. You can take so many of these results this season and absolve Slot of blame.

Tonight summed up why so few Liverpool fans believe Arne Slot can fix this. Yes, this side is short in attack and signings will help, but they won't sort a midfield and defence that have been shambolic all season. So, without a change of head coach, how does it get better?
