This is nuts. This is supposedly a cop that was at the Miami Mall when all that weird crazy shit went down. When they sent a thousand cops for teenagers shooting fireworks off. Don't know if it's real but it is insane. Part 1:

Bugonia proves you don’t need a big budget to make something hit. Tight cast, simple setup, but it actually works. Plemons builds real tension, Emma Stone is perfect in full corporate mode, and the score gives it real weight. Randomly threw this on and it surprised me. It’s one of those movies that doesn’t look like much on the surface, but it’s built really well. This is kind of the new lane of filmmaking right now. Keep the cast small, keep the locations limited, and make sure the idea is strong enough to carry everything. When that works, you don’t need anything else. Jesse Plemons does a great job controlling the pacing early. You can tell something is coming, but you don’t know what, and that tension just sits there the whole time. Emma Stone absolutely nails the corporate role. The tone, the language, the delivery, it all feels real. She sells that high level corporate energy perfectly. Even the supporting performances were solid, and it was funny seeing Stavros pop up in it. The score stood out too. It has that orchestral feel mixed with something a little off underneath, and it adds a lot to scenes that would otherwise feel simple. The premise is interesting right away, and the ending is a lot of fun. It gives you something close to what you want, just not in the exact way you expect. Definitely worth a watch.

Watched Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die. Felt like a boomer fever dream. A lot of on-the-nose metaphors. Sam Rockwell does what he can and carries a lot of it. He probably took the gig because he didn't have to shave. Production value is high though, really clean VFX, everything looks polished. That’s kind of where it stops. If you’re older Gen X or a boomer, you’ll probably get more out of it than I did.
