@kyleshevlin Hypothetically have you considered working as a contractor? W2 or 1099. I burnt out after my first 2 years of full-time work. Moving to contract let me have more free time to pursue other interests, still make nice $$$, and have a concrete "end date" to look forward to

Why does it feel that the concept of "architect" is avoided across most Big Tech and startups?
The places I observed this role are orgs that feel more "traditional" & definitely hierarchical.

I've used some gnarly shit over the years, from webpack 2 to Ember 2.12 without the cli. I've shipped C++ at multiple big tech co's, and I once wrote a rudimentary GraphQL client in Swift.
But getting Jest mocks to work predictably at scale is the hardest thing I've ever done.
