Past 4 weeks I was spending 5-8 hours a day just triaging. I can't do both the refactor and the triaging. I'll be back.

People of pi.dev. I'm heads down in the big refactor (see bigrefactor branch). To have any chance of finishing it, I must pause issue triage for the next 2 weeks. All issues filed during that period will not be reviewed. In case of emergency -> Discord

@SIGKITTEN your litter app is awesome. I really want to play with the opencode/pi servers, can see its on main but not in 1.5 release on test pilot, do you have a release plan somewhere I can follow, I don’t want to miss the drop!

@SIGKITTEN I can tell you that the pi surface currently returns no data and sits at 'thinking' is there an easy way for me to get debug logs out without sending an ol AI against your repo? opencode and codex are working though!

@BenjaminWestern yeah i just cleaned that up yesterday in the testflight and android, used to be called alleycat. still working out some bugs in windows and linux and things with the non-codex agents, but it should be shipping to the app store next week

@lucasmeijer is this like a self-evaluation flow where you are wanting the agent to find surfaces you didn't examine or provide? OR would it allow you to inject pre-answers directly into your initial prompt, based on what you see them thinking about?

PI world needs an /answer extension you can include in the prompt that generates the questions. It’s annoying to wait for the agent, then run /answer, then wait again.

@aarondfrancis seriously loving the product, few small papercuts but hot damn you have built a real gem here. The MCP paired with todos + scratchpad + agent communication is probably the strongest offering keeping me locked in. I have been able to port entire workflows man... TY!

@BenjaminWestern @discordiceris @mitsuhiko go's typesystem is just not as nice as TS'. error handling is also meh comparatively, imo. but that's just my personal opinion. go is a perfectly fine language, i just never liked using it myself for the reasons outlined above.

pi.dev's been supporting OpenAI's WebSockets mode since March. /settings > transport. the difference between SSE and WS for e.g. Spark is not that stark in terms of tokens/sec. the real speed up actually comes from caching context OpenAI side, and only sending deltas as the context grows. pi currently does not implement the latter. hmmmmmm
OpenAI Developers@OpenAIDevs

⚙️ We made agent loops faster with WebSockets in the Responses API As Codex got faster, the bottleneck moved from inference to inefficient API calls WebSockets keep response state warm across tool calls, helping workflows run up to 40% faster end to end openai.com/index/speeding…

@badlogicgames @discordiceris @mitsuhiko I am genuinely interested in what your take on go not being ergonomic enough for your taste elaborates as. Are there just papercuts in the way go handles things that doesn't gel with you? I love go, so just trying to broaden my own views.

@theo I am trying to be lazy and search your sponsors for a code as rag tool that I'm almost certain you were sponsored by, but for the life of me can't remember the name... t3.gg/sponsors/llms.… :( time to go do stuff ai-manually I suppose.

@aarondfrancis The MCP you have created for Solo is a gem... Not enough praise for the work you have done to make this work so seamlessly and its even pretty cheap token-wise! Thank you for your hard work and attention to detail

Give your agents a place to store all of their tasks! It saves context, allows multi-agent coordination, and keeps everyone on track.
