In the current context, we are seeing an actual “short circuit” of #HumanRights. The right to freedom of expression, freedom of conscience, religious freedom, and even the right to life are being restricted in the name of other so-called new rights, with the result that the very framework of human rights is losing its vitality and creating space for force and oppression. This occurs when each right becomes self-referential, and especially when it becomes disconnected from reality, nature, and truth.

Imagine paying for Netflix every month, and then having to pay when you want to watch a movie, and then getting another Netflix bill 3 months later because one of the actors isn't signed with Netflix so you have to pay them directly. Zucker, who, among many other things, personally took photos of all the children he conducted his controversial studies on, and presented these photos to adults with the purpose of rating their "attractiveness"

Hey there Neb. So, as I’ve stated before, I love ALL people. Including Trans people. I personally don’t believe that anyone is ever born in the wrong body, but that doesn’t ever prevent me from loving anyone. I believe that every adult should be able to live their lives however they see fit, so long as that’s not infringing on the rights of others. I also believe that we should not be socially or medically transitioning children, as they are not capable of making such decisions that early in life. Puberty blockers and transitional surgeries are in fact permanent changes to one’s body, and in the same way we have laws that don’t allow a child to, for example, get a tattoo before the age of 18, I don’t believe that we should be transitioning children before then either. Moreover, studies have now conclusively shown that these procedures are not helping curb their mental health struggles, and in many cases are making them much worse if and when they come to a place where they have realized they are not actually trans, and are now faced with having irreparably altered their once fully functioning, healthy bodies. There are numerous cases of detransitioners deeply regretting their decision, who are now incapable of having children or even sexual pleasure for the rest of their lives. What’s more, studies have also shown that at least 90% of children that present gender confusion, if left alone to explore their own identity and sexuality, happily find themselves being gay, lesbian, or bisexual. When we see children who are presenting these characteristics early on, and immediately start convincing them that they are born in the wrong body, and not just possibly attracted to the same sex, we are actively erasing more LGB from the world, and I don’t think that’s fair or right in any way. As far as the trans character in LOU2, I have to admit I actually had to Google who you were even referring to. I played that game multiple times, and never caught that Lev was Trans. And, based on the many posts I read thru online, I’m clearly not the only one. And I think that actually speaks to precisely why I don’t find the game to be “woke”. This story point is subtle, and honest. It isn’t preachy or indoctrinating. Most people, even more conservative folks, have no issue with gay or trans characters. What throws people off is when that’s all the character is about. As if that’s all they have to off the story, therefore making the story not about the adventure, but instead about identity politics.
