Bro my @Microsoft account was hacked like 6 months ago, I had spent quite a bit of money on buying Office, Minecraft, Skype credit, etc etc. Microsoft’s answer is the account will be deleted as the hacker changed my information (they can’t recover it) and I won’t get a refund.

Well that escalated quickly. 1. Yes - we made fun of a guy's name. It was a huge fumble. 2. We apologized to him directly and offered him $10,000 as a gesture of goodwill. 3. We've been poking fun at customers on social media for over a decade now. We're not going to stop, but maybe next time you'll be the one who gets $10,000.

@seeminglee Might be kinda unpopular but I’ve always hated that money is such a taboo. I’d love to know how much people in areas I’m interested in are making. Not because I wanna evaluate THEM for their salary, I wanna evaluate their area as a whole. Either for investments, interests, etc.

I’m really surprised when someone (an adult, in his 50s) asked me how much money I make — and it’s just a friendly conversation, not if I’m looking to rent an apartment or buy a car. Sometimes, players from Clash Royale would ask me this same question, and I would just categorize it as them being young and not know what manners are. More importantly, it’s such a weird question to ask people — what does it even means — it raises a red flag to me immediately because presumably they see how much money one makes as equating to relative worth. I do not measure a person’s relative worth by the money they have, the salary they get paid, or any other material things associated with them. I measure a person’s worth by their contribution to communities, their thoughtfulness, their maturity, their willingness to share their ideas and opinions, their worldliness. It was such a red flag that I immediately knew that I shouldn’t spend any more time with him — despite his otherwise decent CV — it told me everything that I need to know about his character. As much as the experience was distasteful, I appreciate that he asked me such a direct question so early on in our potential friendship, for I know that I need not waste any time with him anymore, and that frees up time for me to do things that are meaningful to me.
