According to a copy of Brendan Sorsby's lawsuit against the NCAA, he DID place bets on Indiana football while he was on the scout team in 2022. However, he never placed bets against the team, the lawsuit says, arguing that there were therefore no integrity issues.

the ncaa can’t tell schools who they can and cannot admit.
There are some eligibility requirements to play in terms of progress toward a degree. But again, schools are not going to have those things dictated to them.

@ralphDrussoATH How about just add academic thresholds for admission, transfers, ect. We have 21 year olds from Europe that have zero admission, eligibility requirements. Same with 3/4 transfer guys. (How are these late transfers eligible at Michigan?)

@AriWasserman An expansion beyond 12 runs of the risk of the games not being must see TV, especially if they have a weird multi-bye structure involved. Those first round games would be treated more like just a bowl game, as opposed to appointment TV.
