@TestaForNJ It’s the dam property taxes. Constantly going up!! My plans are to leave this state as soon as retire. I really don’t feel as I get anything back from all the taxes we pay here. Tax the working middle class to give back to illegal immigrants and people on welfare.

I went to Delaney Hall after reports of unsafe and unconstitutional conditions inside, and what I heard from families and advocates was heartbreaking. The people being held there are fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters who deserve to be treated with dignity.

My request to access the facility was denied this morning, raising even more questions about what they are trying to hide from public view. I’ll keep fighting for answers and to hold ICE accountable.

I’m deeply disturbed by reports of the poor conditions at Delaney Hall. Unsafe, inhumane, and unconstitutional living conditions are completely unacceptable. I have long opposed private detention facilities and advocated against them. I will continue to call for the closure of Delaney Hall because of reports like these. I have contacted ICE to gain access to the facility and my office remains in close coordination with our federal delegation and with advocates, and I commend their continued oversight and work to hold DHS accountable. I will continue working with our partners to closely monitor the situation and to do what's necessary to ensure humane conditions.
