The Ecophysiological Aspects of Forage Management multi state group meeting in TN ended up with a lovely patio dinner. Another year having a great time with this group!

@bmreadel Oklahoma and KS toll will send you the invoice to your address not by email. All tolls by text are fake.

Pulled back the Camelina to see how the beans are doing, the bloom is almost done. The #cdplodge is busy with quilters a few miles away.

@agronomizeNDSU Congratulations Steve! I am going to miss our long discussions on sustainable production over the years. You have been an inspiration for me. Thanks

@GabrielPopkin The ability of CCs to sequester C is very variable and depends on CC species, location, rainfall, temperature, soil type, tillage. In my opinion only perennial crops such as alfalfa and grasses can sequester significant amounts of C. We should look at whole rotations including CCs

Many people claim cover crops can sequester carbon and be a powerful climate solution. Lots of money is flowing toward groups to encourage farmers to adopt cover crops, and to farmers to plant them. What is the strongest *recent* peer-reviewed research supporting this idea?
