@GabrielPopkin The ability of CCs to sequester C is very variable and depends on CC species, location, rainfall, temperature,soil type, tillage. In my opinion only perennial crops such as alfalfa and grasses can sequester significant amounts of C. We should look at whole rotations including CCs
Many people claim cover crops can sequester carbon and be a powerful climate solution. Lots of money is flowing toward groups to encourage farmers to adopt cover crops, and to farmers to plant them. What is the strongest *recent* peer-reviewed research supporting this idea?
