Building more homes across the country. Making the tax system fairer. And 5% deposits for first home buyers.
We're throwing everything we can at housing.
@El_FreedomFairy I’d wouldn’t give up just yet but definitely start working on second residency to have options l. Realistically Florida or Texas are great options or less woke part of Europe if possible.
I’m a 23 year old Aussie Bitcoiner.
With the way Australia is going, I am hesitant to build my life here…
I want to be able to buy a home, have a family, raise my kids without crazy gender politics, give back to my community, and be somewhere where people (at least to some extent) see the world similarly to me.
If you were in my position, where would you consider moving?
This is peak celebrity nonsense: Jennifer Lopez literally waiting for the crowd to clear before doing a 20 foot walk to her car, just to stage her paparazzi exit.
I'm so over celebrity culture
@AlboMP You are a deceitful conman stealing from the young people in this country. You communists should be removed from power and then imprisoned for the damage you have done. Stealing from young people is NOT okay.
Aussie Boomers: Free uni. Cheap houses. Negative gearing. 50% CGT discount.
Aussies Now: HECS debt. 10x salary house prices. No negative gearing. No CGT discount. Don't ask why young Aussies are angry. Ask why it took us this long.
@AlboMP The baby boomers will now holds on to bigger houses for longer to get the CGT advantage and will not recycle their properties to downsize. This will fuck even more families. You incompetent morons !
BREAKING: SpaceX has once again broken the record for the tallest rocket ever built.
For the third time in just three years, a new version of Starship has been stacked at Starbase in South Texas near the US-Mexico border.
Starship V3 is larger and more powerful than previous generations, continuing SpaceX’s rapid pace of iteration as it pushes toward full reusability and deep space missions.
The scale of development happening at Starbase is unlike anything the modern space industry has seen.
I've never really taken the idea of leaving this country seriously, largely because aesthetically it's such a beautiful place.
But this budget is so horrendous, and so demoralising, that staying in Australia just doesn't seem tenable for any serious professional.
Pre election 2025, Jim Chalmers said “when it comes to negative gearing tax changes, that is something we won’t be touching”
Anthony Albanese said “yes, for the 50th time, I promise that negative gearing will not touched”
The Albanese Government just blatantly lies to our face.
@wholemars Quite the Mother's Day words of wisdom.
To simply call him immature does not do his level of childishness justice.
Elmo, WTF is wrong with your wiring?
Tesla Recalls Nearly 220,000 Vehicles Over Rearview Camera Issue
Tesla is recalling 218,868 vehicles due to a rearview camera defect that may delay the image when the car is placed in reverse, reducing visibility and increasing crash risk, according to a May 5 notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The recall affects select 2017 and 2021–2023 Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X vehicles running software version 2026.8.6. Tesla has issued a free over-the-air software update to fix the problem, with owner notification letters set to be mailed July 3.
@XieJackie Pretty simple really. Urban Australians are generally so woke that they are unable to touch Tesla without getting nauseous even though it is an infinitely better vehicle than BYD. Their pink hair turns brown, and their unicorn tears dry up.
