Because of the ongoing federal government shutdown, SNAP benefits for 1.8 million New Yorkers are expected to pause beginning November 1. This means many families, older adults, and children will temporarily lose access to the food assistance they depend on. The City of New York is stepping up with an emergency response. Mayor Adams announced $15 million in additional funding for food pantries and community kitchens to help meet the increased demand. NYC agencies are working together to make sure no one goes hungry. We can easily begin the process with our new records but going back through all of our previous records is daunting. Especially pinpointing the euphemisms and nuances.

We have looked into many academic projects but I’m not finding anything from the #businessarchives community.
