What people understand: they will film one season every 2 years or every 1.5 years. The truth is that they will film annually and HBO has planned 7 seasons over 10 years.

@DonaldClarke63 The trailer was always going to do big figures. I’m sure the Cats trailer did crazy numbers. Can’t see it being a flop like that, though. I think there’s a good chance it could go the Fantastic Beasts way: big but not big enough to continue to the end.

One of the worst things to happen to television was the death of the studio sitcom. Used to be the bedrock of a schedule. Then a load of hipsters said they were dated, single camera was the future and dramas with two jokes were now comedies. Jesus wept!

It's not possible to separate the art (Harry Potter) from the artist (JK Rowling) when the artist actively uses her massive platform and wealth to harm vulnerable communities.
