@MerlinFDC4 I agree .I don’t think they need them in school but they need them to and from school. Walking to school is promoted and working parents need to know their children are safe or can be contacted in an emergency. I worry about some people knowing that kids don’t have a safety net.

Overreach once again re smartphones at school. Our secondary school needs one to access timetables, house points and homework as well as check balances for food. The school is already strict and use of SP is limited, and local web access monitored.

My loyal supporters came up trumps and the family went on holiday and had a wonderful time. Last week Stanley's family were hit with some devastating news, Stanleys Cancer has returned and has got into his spine and also his brain also. Stanley now has now been given months to live. @MerlinFDC4 Someone our son went to school with is running a local pub. He has done amazing , puts lots of events on and works very hard. We are supporting him as much as we can. It’s lovely to see someone make a go if it after 3 or 4 have failed before. You need to support it or loose it.

Unlike any other sector for Business Rates, ours is penalised when you do well. Wtf? An MP confirmed to us that our rates went up 700% in 2023 because we had made significant trade improvements. Doesn't happen to offices/warehouses etc. Rotten system @HMRCgovuk
