Please, if you don’t want your ice cream, put it in the bin, not the ground. Some dogs are idiots and some owners - no matter how diligent - won’t always be quick enough to stop them eating things that are bad for them. Hopefully an ulcer but could be pancreatitis. What a day 🥺

This plant is driving me a little nuts. There are several growing in a 20m stretch. Can any helpful botanists shed any light please? Growing on edge of forestry track, acid, dry, rocky area. North Wales. #wildflowerID #wildflowerhour

Somehow failed to get a decent photo @Bex_Cartwright but 5 Shrill queens on the track West of Black Barns Pools, all seen on Bramble. Probably 8 or more Brown-banded, but more dotted around sea wall / creek areas.

She said he loved water and she didn’t want him going in water after a spot on! Don’t know if that was a result of the @BBCSpringwatch item but still positive!

SHRILL CARDER BEE! We found one! This is Jacqui James, @camZoology researcher, working with farmers, @BumblebeeTrust @nationaltrust & @RestPoll on the urgent conservation of this species (Bombus sylvarum), in the most threatened of its 5 surviving UK populations, south Somerset.

Bumblebee queens are emerging. I keep finding them resting on the ground. Several Early Bumblebees today and yesterday this Heath Bumblebee - Bombus jonellus. Check out the pale hairs on the hind leg. @BumblebeeTrust

Three oil beetles seen over three days. Two Black Oil Beetles (m&f) and today a Violet Oil Beetle (m). Nice to have both species so close to home #OilBeetleHunt @OilBeetlesUK
