During a roundtable with restaurant owners in Omaha last week, I heard about the benefits they’re seeing as a result of the Working Families Tax Cuts. One restaurant manager told me of a waitress whose wages were incorrectly reported.  Her W-2 reported some overtime pay as regular pay.  When this was corrected, she received an extra $1,500 in her tax returns because of the no tax on overtime provision.

They might not feed the world or solve society’s problems — but they help create people who will. Throughout our history, few Nebraskans have had a bigger impact on our state than Tom Osborne. Nebraska is indebted to Coach for his lifetime of contributions, from his military service, to dominance on the football field and impact on collegiate athletics, to representing our state in Congress, to revolutionizing youth mentoring. 🏆🏆🏆 I believe it’s time we recognize him appropriately, and I’m very pleased that an overwhelming bipartisan majority of the Legislature will support this truly wonderful, unifying bill.
