FL: A 17-year-old migrant from Honduras died Wednesday while in the care of the Office of Refugee Resettlement. Sources tell me he was in HHS custody for 5 days. He has been identified by the Honduran secretary of foreign affairs, @EnriqueReinaHN as Ángel Eduardo Maradiaga Espinoza. Reina is calling for an "exhaustive investigation" into the death. He says the government of Honduras is working with the U.S. embassy to contact the family. He was reportedly found unconscious at a migrant shelter in Safety Harbor, Florida—Resuscitation attempts at a local hospital were unsuccessful—He was pronounced dead at a local hospital. A medical investigation was opened on the 10th according to @PressSec @CNN reports that this is the 2nd death of an unaccompanied minor in the custody of HHS since March, according to a congressional notice obtained by the network.
