The Nanjing Massacre or the Rape of Nanjing, was the mass murder of Chinese civilians in Nanjing, the capital of the Republic of China, immediately after the Battle of Nanking in the Second Sino-Japanese War, by the Imperial Japanese Army. Beginning on December 13, 1937, the massacre lasted six weeks.
The number of Chinese killed in the massacre has been subject to much debate, with most estimates ranging from 100,000 to more than 300,000.

JUST IN: Ukraine launches attack against Russia, destroying the Novocherkassk, a Russian warship in Crimea.
Ukraine has taken responsibility for the attack, claiming the ship was completely destroyed.
The ship was reportedly 360-feet long and had the ability to transport 10 tanks along with hundreds of troops
Russia says the attack was carried out by “aircraft-guided missiles” but didn’t confirm whether or not the ship was completely destroyed.
It is currently unknown how many people were killed.
