@JoeDoyleMiLB Why not much buzz on Kozeal at Arkansas? I know probably playing out of position this season and projects more as a 2B. But hitting over .300 with 18 HRs and 64RBIs and an OPS over 1.000.

That’s now 20 homers for a college shortstop. Tyson LeBlanc is the real deal. Can pick it on the dirt too. Probably hears his name called on day one in July.

Some NCAA tournament thoughts going into Sunday's @NCAABaseball action: 1) The American is increasingly looking like a one-bid league. UTSA has gained separation and ECU and UAB are now three games back in the standings w/ RPIs in the 50s. That's problematic. 2) Outside of Kansas, if you were a Top 8 seed last week, you're probably still in great shape this week. Contenders such as KU, Coastal Carolina, Mississippi State have all lost games and/or series this weekend. Coastal dropping to 24 in the RPI is noteworthy. 3) We had Oregon as the No. 16 seed last week, and today's game against UCLA was massive. Ducks are up to 21 in the RPI, and with a series win, would be in a pretty good spot. 4) Keep an eye on Oklahoma State. The Pokes are ridiculously hot right now, and that is a team with a lineup that I would NOT want to play in the NCAA tournament. 5) I'd also keep an eye on Arkansas in the hosting discussion. The Hogs picked up a series win over Oklahoma, and are now 15-11 in the SEC. Win that UK series on the road to get to 17-12 in the league, and the hosting case is pretty strong - especially with 12 wins vs. RPI Q1. Stay tuned. But the Hogs were trending up. 6) Barring the teams winning their conference tournaments, the three longest postseason streaks will end: Vanderbilt (19), LSU (13), Dallas Baptist (11). I suppose Vandy isn't 'totally done' -- but they've got a 50 mile drive with 10 miles left on the tank. 7) Keep an eye on Texas State getting sneaky in the Sun Belt. The Bobcats won the first two games against Arkansas State on the road and are up 8 spots in the RPI. Win today and beat UTSA on the road Tuesday, and that RPI will be closer to 40 w/ a league record around .500. Probably not there yet, but getting much closer.

@AdamFord92 Part of it is also that the governing body(AAA) that oversees Arkansas high school sports is more interested in finding new was to invent new classifications each year rather than developing resources to help players and programs become more successful.

This is what accountability looks and sounds like. He wants game hitters and not showcase hitters. Players that can take productive at bats. Players that understand that different situations require different approaches and different swings.

For anyone who uses StubHub to buy/sell tickets, a cautionary post... I purchased four tickets to all three sessions of March Madness in St Louis on March 20 and 22 for $2000 total. When Illinois did not end up in the STL bracket, I sold the tickets on Stubhub on March 15...

@weatherdan It’s like this multiple times a week around the 8am commute now. Infrastructure has not kept up with population boom. Population has doubled since 2000 but only additional north/south upgrade has been adding one lane.

What the heck is going on with I 49 northbound this morning. Traffic is at a standstill only to reveal absolutely nothing in terms of an accident or a stalled car. It’s been bumper-to-bumper stop and go for phantom traffic.

@SECbaseball Not as heated anymore but the Arkansas and Missouri State rivalry through the mid/late 2010s was a lot of fun. Exchanged some postseason series defeats. Still play each other in mid weeks and not as heated but was really fun for a few years

I don’t think there’s much of a gap between Darryn Peterson and Darius Acuff. Mather of fact if you told me Acuff was better five years from now I wouldn’t be shocked. People need to wake up.

What’s the best sports hype video you’ve ever seen? Professional or collegiate. American or international. (F1 content is top tier, IMO and I don’t even watch F1) Could be an opener for an in-person game, preseason hype, single game hype, merch hype, player hype, coach hype, post season hype, etc. Would love to hear specifics on why it’s your favorite and preferably a X post for it in the replies if possible. Oak View Group Partnership: Better late than never. A single sold-out concert at DWRRS can net the department $3M-$4M in profit through concessions and facility fees. Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen are two artists this year doing SEC stadium tours. We need to address why we continually are late to the game on everything for the last decade, but nevertheless an improvement if the money is invested productively. #WPS #Razorbacks
