I've always said Billy wasn't the issue but this needed the move. He needs a fresh start and an incoming executive should never be tied down by an existing coach.
This Bulls job got a lot more interesting. I'd lean heavily towards Matt Lloyd as it stands now.

The Chicago Bulls have started the search process for their new head of basketball operations, receiving permission to interview Minnesota's Matt Lloyd, Detroit's Dennis Lindsey, Atlanta's Bryson Graham, Cleveland's Mike Gansey and San Antonio's Dave Telep, per ESPN sources. The Bulls are also expected to speak with the co-head of CAA's basketball division, Austin Brown, regarding the vacancy, sources said.

Forward is by far the Bulls' deepest position. Matas, Noa, Leonard Miller, and Jalen Smith might be their biggest keepers, and all could be best at the 4. They aren't close to good enough to be drafting for fit, so bring me Boozer or Wilson. But they can def take a guard, too.

The Bulls really need to think about moving on from Billy Donovan & go all in with the rebuild. There are two guys I would love to see get the HC opportunity: Sam Cassell & James Wade. Cassell is currently an assistant coach at Boston and Wade is an assistant coach at Toronto. Both are proven winners and have a good records for player development.
