Metropolitan Police: Two British men, aged 19 and 20, and a 17-year-old boy with dual British and Pakistani nationality have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson with intent to endanger life following an attack on the four Jewish community ambulances.

People are barricaded in shops. Others are unable to get down the street. Why? Because this is the “Clapham youth” in London. They have stormed the high street and are looting shops. Does not seem like anyone is being arrested yet. Instead police stand and watch. You can guarantee that if they were a large group of white kids they would be arrested in minutes. This is not the first time they have done this in the last few days. Their behaviour is feral.

Actually Patrick, it means those who've come here to work in jobs that form the backbone of society - care workers, teaching assistants, cleaners. Nobody in such jobs should be in poverty. When we’re talking about lifting children out of poverty, why wouldn’t we mean everyone?

The amount of social housing that exists in fashionable areas (over 40% in Islington!) functions as rent control. We just don’t call it that. But social housing is simply a massive subsidy for people to live in places they can’t afford, at the expense of others.

Britain has a dire shortage of skilled construction workers. Yet the FT reports today that colleges are turning away at least 9,400 construction students (real number likely higher) because Starmer has reneged on his promise to spend more on skills. Cash going to SEND instead.
