@SandyofSuffolk Exactly! People don't realise as they don't necessarily see the % increase. They'll just see it as 10p here, 40p there. But it's ridiculous. They're all at it. Since COVID, everyone has jumped on the bandwagon.

Two years ago, my budget for my weekly Aldi shop was £60. Some weeks, my shopping only cost around £55. Now, buying basically the same things, my weekly budget has had to increase to £75 and, most weeks, I go over budget by a couple of pounds. In just the last two weeks, a punnet of button mushrooms has gone from 89p to 99p. Percentage wise, that's one hell of a big increase. But they try to tell us food inflation has stabilised. These people who've never done a weekly food shop in their lives. 🙄
