Once again @NewcastleCC back from work in Scotland, to find my street used as a rubbish bin, again an hour spent shovelling it up.This is a weekly occurrence, we have a shop, Chinese, bus shelter and chip shop around us and no public bin. Council say 5 year wait for review 😡

People are barricaded in shops. Others are unable to get down the street. Why? Because this is the “Clapham youth” in London. They have stormed the high street and are looting shops. Does not seem like anyone is being arrested yet. Instead police stand and watch. You can guarantee that if they were a large group of white kids they would be arrested in minutes. This is not the first time they have done this in the last few days. Their behaviour is feral.

Newcastlecc this is what happens when you remove all the public bins, especially at bus stops. It’s clear you have no respect for your residents and more respect for the rats. I’m hoping for a council tax rebate.

@ChiOnwurah It’s a shame that @NewcastleCC have taken all the public bins away and left us with a huge litter and rat problem. After continuously asking for a litter bin for ten years and being told that it’s 5 years till next review, little chance of selling our home.

10 years I have tried to get a public bin at the end of our road @NewcastleCC, instead I spent 2 hours on my day off picking rubbish. Keen to take my council tax, but not to provide a bin for broken glass and waste. Great Job, rats not pictured. #Newcastle #lazy #local

@NewcastleCC It is Westerhope gardens, I have been messaging about this for the last 5 years and it’s the same answer. You are wasting money on sending a cleaning truck when you can place a bin there and it can be emptied on the existing bin run.

I sliced my hand open this morning on barbed wire and no nhs facility would deal, instead they told me to drive 30 miles with my dog, pouring with blood needing stitches. Lucky for me I’m friends with an ex nurse who managed to clean it, glue it together and dress it properly.

@NewcastleCC just wanted draw your attention once again, to the absolute disgrace of city streets. If you do not want to put public bins on our streets, then please come up with another solution. I pick up this amount every 2 days from my cul de sac. If Sunderland can do it😠
