Add a clause in the NIL collective deal that says something like this: “if student athlete transfers to outside of a 15 mile radius of (collective location) they must reimburse the collective for 50% of previous year’s NIL income.” Now you have your buyout. We have a win-win

Tip for NIL collectives: it is possible to sign college athletes to multi year deals with buyouts. Player X is a freshman in the portal with 3 to play. He wants a 3 year guaranteed deal. You want to make sure he doesn’t blow up and leave after one year. How to make it work:
