Meet Sitka, our largest Bald Eagle ambassador. After a car collision, Sitka suffered serious injuries, including damage to her wing and the loss of her rear talon. Sitka now has an important job here at the Alaska Raptor Center, helping us educate the public! #BaldEagleAmbassador

I don’t know about you but I alway like to test the water temp before I make that first daring plunge into the drink. That’s not what this bird is doing. This skimmer is trying to catch a meal by slicing through the water with the lower portion of its beak. Seems like a nice relaxing way to catch a meal.
