@willie_lutz Yeah if you're drafting guys that had production issues in college, take the ones that have the NFL size and speed. They'll, at least, last a few seasons and make a few plays.

We can infer, since IND didn't find a trade partner, that he won't get the $10M he was scheduled to earn in 2026.
I think he'll land in the $6M-$8M range in base value with a chance to earn $1M-$2M more via incentives. So whenever he signs, I wouldn't be surprised if it's reported as a, "worth up to $9M - $10M" deal.
Cap shouldn't be a deterrent for CIN here. Even if they don't want to restructure Burrow (they should regardless of any additonal anticpated acquisitions), they could do a void year and not be forced to make a corresponding move and would still be fine from a top51 cap accounting perspective.

@DBAAU2021 He is our best option at nickel. He’s also our best option at outside CB. He’s a good player who’s good at multiple positions. However, he’s better outside and has now expressed strong desire to stay there. Moving him again would be unwise

@Big_Bengals Better than you apparently. Ben is right in what he’s saying. The FO didn’t see LB as a need. Either the LB room will do good this year, proving them right. Or they will still suck, the defense will still be bad. And the off-season will be looked at as a failure

We can use our brains and the information that the Bengals executives have given us, and deduce that the Bengals are high on their young LBs while still viewing the position as a need
They just didn’t have the opportunity to add a true top LB, which is the only way they thought they could upgrade
