Age 34) Gets Schaefer a RH partner long term - and if Islanders don’t trade Pelech they could potentially just stack their Defense next season to help Sorokin & take some pressure off Schaefer who shouldn’t be playing 28 minutes every night. With Vancouver rebuilding, I can see them also eating one of the Isles’ bad contracts - whether it’s Mayfield/Duclair/Engvall Considering Hronek got traded for a 17th overall pick & a 2nd in 2023 - I would imagine a return centered around the 13th overall pick this year could get it done.
