This is a photo of a friend’s father. She is trying to identify the platform and cap badge. Very little information available beyond that and the cap badge cannot be made any clearer. She thinks the photo may have been taken late 40s early 50s during his national service. He trained in Catterick and served for a time in Cyprus. Separately she is trying to find out his Service Number so she can try and access information through formal records. Can Fillyourboots offer any help please?

@BillinghamCrier Hang on in there. I had covid for the first time two weeks ago. Lethargy, tiredness & headaches really did knock me down for a couple of weeks. Advice I was given was to drink plenty of liquids & painkillers. That helped me. All the best for a quick recovery.

Got up at 0330 this morning feeling very ropey. Did a Covid test and for the first time ever it came back positive. Not a happy Town Crier! I have to say it’s horrible. I have a headache that would kill a non Town Crier and tablets won’t even take the edge off it 🥶
