@zedz145795 Huh? I was just in Kyiv last week. How about you, tough guy?
English

So why is this coward tough guy hiding on the net and not in the front lines if he wants death so badly for others???

Scott Ritter claims those poor college kids were targeted. I guess low class Marines done realize uniformed military are valid targets. Then again, he’s cool with Russia embedding military with civilian targets. Stalin would approve. x.com/i_iangg/status…

@mdbuckley Rather similar to the approach to the independent sector.

It’s a tragedy that we are allowing our universities and research capacity to wither due to lack of funding and a determined effort to deter international students.
Good jobs are being lost.
Once lost, capacity will be hard to rebuild.
To what benefit?

'Shameful' more spent on benefits than jobs for young people, says Milburn ~ buff.ly/rAVh4aI

English

@DebateHazel Looks like what’s happening to the independent sector. Few 🌹shed tears about that. Time to thin out the economically hopeless degrees.

Always going to happen and foreseen with the financislisation of Higher Education
Alonso Gurmendi@Alonso_GD
Britain’s higher education system, one of the finest in the world, is being slowly, relentlessly, destroyed
English

@suttontrust The ‘drama’ sector employs 250,000. Each year there are 50,000 - 60,000 drama graduates. Time to reduce the number of places where there is no possibility of employment and saddled with debt the state (tax payer) ends up paying.

The barriers that are limiting access to the creative industries are entrenched.
To build a system that fairly reflects the diversity and talent across the UK, we need changes across the education pipeline, as well as action from creative employers.

💬 "The Sutton Trust found only 10% of writers are from working-class backgrounds."
Getting to the top of the creative industries is a dream for many talented young people in our country.
But access to these careers is far from equal ⬇️

@MissDSays Budgets are a reality. It’s the real world. Business has it and the independent sector.
English

@suttontrust Probably help if 27.4% didn’t leave school without a Level 2 in English despite their education costing the taxpayer £100,000+!
English

@ShehabKhan @Sum1st Behind a pay wall. I do agree the system needs a change.
English

@PeterTCross @Sum1st Have a read of the article Peter - I break down how the repayments for plan 2 student loans work - it’s quite different to a traditional bank loan
English

@ShehabKhan @Sum1st Surely the amount you earn means repayment is straightforward?
English

@Sum1st The article explains how the loan isn’t the same as a traditional loan like the one you’d get for a car
English

@DrEmilyHarris @paullewismoney Is it really a cliff edge? What proportion of their benefits package would it currently be for one child?
English

@paullewismoney This is a great idea - removes a cliff edge of income
English

Ministers consider not stopping benefits entirely when teens go into apprenticeships bit.ly/49ici0d the loss of income now deters parents from encouraging it

English

@LBC 13 x £8000 is over £100k to not achieve the basics. Wow.
English

@paullewismoney @DavidHeadViews Perhaps best we slim down the number of economically low value degrees which saddle students with debt they never repay?
English

@DavidHeadViews A bit like benefit fraud? Guess that’s the same.
