Kieran arrived in January 2022 with the club in the relegation zone and played a crucial role as he went on to lift the club’s first domestic trophy in 70 years.

This, I’m told, will be worth single-figure millions per year, but it all helps. It’s a good deal for the club to do & follows what was the most impressive aspect of 24/25 accounts, the 44% increase in commercial revenue. This is where NUFC need to make quick & significant gains.

It is 100000% what will happen. Stuck in a cycle of average European managers who end up having zero affiliation with the club, city and fans, gauging success on a period of 10 games. I dread every second of it #nufc

I can't help looking at the Spurs managerial situation and wonder where we end up when Eddie Howe is inevitably forced out. A club at the top end of the financial tree who'd be ahead of us in the queue. Doesn't bear thinking about.

I don't know the ins and outs of PSR but it seems an impossible job to close the gap for Newcastle (and most other clubs) to the top six.

NUFC qualifying for the European Conference League next season would be a poor result financially and hamper their ability to spend.
Europa League would be ok. Just. But the Conference League, with the new SCR regs coming in, should be given a proper swerve.
