@BBCMOTD Just listened to this and the process was brilliant Apart from one thing The start is Trossard not looking in the direction of the ball holding Pablo with 2 arms around him This is the 1st offence and is IMPACTFUL (the word they used) So they still got in wrong

People see what they want to see but Raya was clearly fouled as he was about to catch the ball. All the other stuff going on in the box is usual corner kick nonsense. Raya is prevented from catching the cross. That trumps everything. There's no controversy. Great VAR call.

He's bang on. The widespread head loss over a correct decision - which should just have been praised as a great use of VAR - has been so ridiculous and it does match officials no good whatsoever.

@refsupportuk Gnev did reveal if we take him at his word that did discuss the fouls but said they came after the foul on rays. Which we know is wrong.

Does anyone else feel that it’s wrong for commentators to tell viewers what is going on with VAR conversations before the decisions are made? If these commentators can hear the VAR team and broadcast their conversations live, why not just play VAR conversations live so everyone can hear what’s going on ? 🤷‍♂️

@r7garry @adrianjclarke That’s the debate , but when it’s a player who is being penalised for fouling is actually being fouled prior , it looks bad on var Maybe your not being subjective Pablo is denied an opportunity to get infront of raya and try to head the ball It’s as simple as that
