@TouchlineX I think it's something in between: He didn't really want to miss, but he also didn't try with all his might to score a goal. I believe he wanted to leave the decision in the hands of fate or God. Or, less dramatically: He wanted to give the goalkeeper a fair chance.

I find quite hilarious how this message resembles a bit the 'Murder Most Foul' announcement. Also that he targets fans and followers of the "Rough & Rowdy Ways" Tour specifically, as if such a group existed*.
