@Danizeh This is not true in my experience and I’m in college right now. I wonder how much Covid ruined it but it possibly recovered some. Or maybe we’re just at completely different schools

When I went to college which wasn't that long ago, nobody dated and there were only a few hookups here and there. This idea that 'college is the time to find a woman' is some 90s shit. The world has changed. People don't understand how many single people there are in their 20s.

This is completely true but I went to university at age 24-28 and so I saw that most 18-22s are not looking for a long term partners. They don't get how much worse the dating situation becomes out of university and they still think things will get better in the future.

You should repent because your sin deeply offends God.
My priest always centers his homilies around the readings which personally, I really enjoy.

Beautiful mass today in St Louis — often referred to as the “Rome of the West” — celebrating the 200th anniversary of the archdiocese.
It was held at the Cathedral Basilica. @CardinalDolan a native of St. Louis gave the homily. Past archbishops, other Church leaders from across the country and from Rome were in attendance along with hundreds of others.

@ashly_lyly Well I think if we compare 25 y/o Gen Z to millennials at that age then the marriage rates are still quite a bit lower for Gen Z. I could be wrong tho. But my broader point is still selection bias which I think holds up

With all due respect, our Lord spoke quite a bit about Hell. Indeed, that we should fear it! St John Chrysostom, the Ecclesial Golden Mouth, said this topic should be pressed and emphasized so as to scare the hell out of poor souls.

I never preach on hell. I don’t understand why anyone would. Maybe a reason exists? Certainly hell is a real consequence. However, I think it’s better pedagogy to point people toward the good. Preaching is, after all, ordered primarily to the movement of the will to the good.

@ashly_lyly Probably. But a lot got married, vs now a lot want to marry but can’t. The dating market is also commingled. When men looking for a future wife to date the much smaller pool now has a much higher concentration of sluts, ugly/fat women (relative to the past) and girlbosses
