Happy to share that #Biocon has received approval for its complex formulation #Liraglutide (gSaxenda) from the U.S. FDA. Approved for the 18 mg/3 mL (6 mg/mL) single-patient-use prefilled pens, it is used in the treatment of weight management as an adjunct to a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. Over the past year, we have had the privilege of building a deeply meaningful volunteering journey with @Bioconlimited — one that stands out as a true highlight for all of us at Akshaya Patra. What began as a series of engagements has grown into a remarkable collaboration involving 282 committed volunteers, contributing 716 hours across our Jigani kitchen, nearby schools, and even at the Biocon corporate office. Each session brought inspiring energy, heartfelt enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to understand and contribute to our mission. From exploring the intricacies of our large-scale kitchen operations, to actively participating in pre-processing activities, to serving freshly prepared meals to children 🍛 — every moment reflected the spirit of compassion and community. Many volunteers even took the time to taste the meals themselves, making the experience richer and more personal. Engagements like these strengthen the fabric of our community and show what becomes possible when purpose and partnership come together.
