This isn't my favorite Ghibli movie. Princess Mononoke, Whisper of the Heart, and Kiki's still top this, but none of them resonated with me as much as this one did. I want to watch this again, but it hit really hard that I don't know if I should. Existential dread is fun!

The Boy and The Heron (Movie) I've been thinking about this movie a lot over the past few days. It's a brilliant story that digs into the inevitability of death and saying goodbye. Ghibli movies often linger in my mind for days after viewing, but this one feels different.

One of my favorite moments in Paper Mario: The Origami King is when a Sombrero Guy, a Spike, and a Bone Goomba, who are online friends, meet up in real life for a picnic. It’s heartwarming and it hit a special spot when they said they met online🥺 and the music is delightful!

The man has this gorgeous design based on fallen angels and vampires and shinigami but he’d get scared by toast popping out of a toaster. He cannot talk to women or children. He took a 5 year mental health break from being a video game rival.
