I encourage others to think and act more in support of our non-human cousins too! The extreme suffering we're imposing on them in the billions is not something we talk about often, but it continues to be one of the larger blights on humanity.
And I'm getting optimistic that this century we can finally end it. Farming practices are improving, synthetic alternatives are improving.
Also, in my recent experience, good old low-tech vegetarian and vegan food has improved massively worldwide over the last ten years; I encourage anyone who has tried it long before and given up to take second look; there are far more healthier and tastier options today than the "pasta and salad" you would often get ten years ago.

Reminder: If you ask yourself, hey but is XRP used here? Why does not everyone just use XRP? They do, in fees and reserves. But you're missing the bigger picture tbh. The $XRP Ledger is a multi asset ledger with a native decentralized exchange. All fully functional in 2012. XRPL loves issued assets. The world has many forms of values. From stocks, to bonds, real estate, money market funds, national currencies. In order to plug into the real world we allow for issued assets. Market Makers in order to fill orders between those multiple assets like EUR and USD, can use XRP as the only asset any account can hold, no trustline and no counterparty risk. When a swap gives better conversion rates via XRP offers, then it routes through it - autobridging = bridge asset idea! The usage of issued assets, enables XRP to act its role as a liquidity bridge, just like the US Dollar in tradfi. How does this look like before adoption at scale? Take a look here of a real XRPL sample:

@AlewXRP @Vet_X0 @RazielWait Claro que não! Mas é necessário ter XRP para queimar e provavelmente eles não vão possuir somente 1 XRP para executar esse tipo de transação e não será apenas uma, mas centenas de milhares de transações em algum momento e XRP é obrigatório para todas.

@Vet_X0 @RazielWait Technically no vet, XRP wasn’t actually used in the cross border transaction. It was burned and we know there needs to be a reserve for accounts in the XRPL but XRP itself was not used!

I checked Ondo on the $XRP Ledger, who is a native issuer of US treasuries here.
And indeed, i found 2 transactions by Ripple that seem to redeem OUSG recently, as part of the MasterCard and JPM cross border/bank settlement funnel !
The transactions settled for fractions of a penny in a few seconds.
