Earlier today @_mykhael took us deep into @CashuBTC, a Chaumian ecash protocol built on Bitcoin and Lightning, and what it means to treat digital cash as bearer tokens. The talk unpacked the underlying cryptography, from Blind Diffie-Hellman key exchange enabling mint-side unlinkability to how the NUT specifications define a practical mint and wallet API. It also explored how something as simple as a string of characters can function as money.
