First cousin marriage in the Anglo-protestant world is a great example of how fast things change and how quickly we forget. Until the mid 1800s it was legal everywhere, and neither stigmatized nor particularly encouraged, although some families did have a pattern of it. But stigma and prohibition steadily increased, to the point that it is now extremely taboo, and essentially never occurs outside of recent immigrants, even in the States retaining the old English common law that allows it.

Texas actually did something like this, but better. Starting in the 1960s, thanks to Lady Bird Johnson and the Highway Beautification Act, Texas began planting native wildflowers along highways. Today, TxDOT manages about 800,000 acres of roadside and intentionally delays mowing until early summer after wildflowers have bloomed and dropped seed. Mowing late in the season allows the wildflowers to stay vigorous and not get crowded out by taller grasses or trees and shrubs. Take a drive along Texas highways in the Spring and you will enjoy a beautiful display of Bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrush, Coreopsis, Winecup, Mexican Hat, Indian Blanket, and more! Then thank Ladybird Johnson and TxDOT’s commitment to keeping Texas Highways beautiful.

Every single mile of highway and interstate median should be planted with native wildflowers to feed pollinators and birds. No more mowing grass.

I don’t think we should wall off our internet like China. That’s not the American way. As an American I demand more information, not less. But we can’t have a healthy political debate between Americans on X when (1) only 15% of this site’s users are Americans, (2) much of the other 85% are rooting for us to fail, and (3) users can’t tell where the support for an idea is coming from. Displaying a poster’s country was a good start. But X should also let users see a post’s likes broken down by country. There are tons of American creators who make a living catering primarily to a hostile foreign audience. An audience that would cheer if every American died. But because their posts get 100k’s of likes, Americans are tricked into believing their enemies’ opinions are actually those of their neighbors. Expose them. Let users see likes by country. It’s the only way to bring sanity back to American discourse. @nikitabier @elonmusk

Imagine if the Athenians, when debating what to do about the Persian invasion, had allowed millions of Persians to dress up as Greeks and speak and cheer in the assembly. That's what discussing American politics is like on X.

Huh? Why is the Mormon Church funding a huge mosque in Utah?
Amy Mek@AmyMek

🚨SHOCKING ESCALATION IN UTAH The LDS Church – which donated $25K to build Utah's largest mega-mosque (Utah Islamic Center) and other mosques in the state – is NOW exposed for partnering with Hamas-linked ministries & financing Hamas contractors! New March 23, 2026, reveals LDS Charities (Church's humanitarian arm) has funneled support to terror-aligned Islamic groups – far beyond what was known. Key facts: 🔺LDS Charities partnered with Medglobal, an Illinois-based charity that openly boasted of collaborating directly with Hamas’s Ministry of Health in Gaza (2020 announcement lists LDS Charities alongside Hamas-connected Rahma Worldwide and Taliban-linked Islamic Oasis). Medglobal received $200,000 from LDS in 2017 and $1.9 million in 2019, with support continuing in recent years. 🔺 Rahma Worldwide (Michigan charity) has signed contracts with senior Hamas officials, including designated terrorist Ghazi Hamad (who vowed to repeat the October 7 attacks “time and again”). Internal Hamas documents from 2022 confirm Rahma’s Gaza director is “affiliated with Hamas.” Aid workers in Gaza wore jackets bearing both LDS Charities and Rahma logos — along with the logo of RIHS, a Kuwaiti group designated by the U.S. Treasury for supporting Al-Qaeda. LDS has listed Rahma as a major partner for over a decade, with joint projects in Gaza, Syria, Lebanon, and beyond - continuing even after Rahma’s terror ties became public. In March 2026, Rahma released a video of a new joint LDS-Rahma project in Syria. 🔺 LDS Charities funded Bayader Association, a Gaza-based group that coordinates closely with Hamas ministries and whose staff have publicly praised Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists. LDS supported Bayader welfare projects in Gaza (2014–2016), including untraceable cash grants - a method experts say often subsidizes terror recruitment and operations. 🔺 The Church has long collaborated with Islamic Relief (Muslim Brotherhood-linked, designated a terror organization by the UAE), serving as its largest donor after the 2004 tsunami and contributing millions in goods and services. These partnerships persisted years after the groups’ terror connections were reported. When previously challenged, the LDS Church dismissed concerns as “false” without addressing specifics, claiming no aid was diverted - yet the collaborations continued. 🔺 This is the same Church that promotes “interfaith friendship” while funding mosque construction in conservative Utah, where conversions are surging and Republican leaders (Gov. Cox, SLC mayor in hijab at City Hall iftar) are accommodating Islamic events with zero reciprocity from Muslim-majority nations. Utah Mormons: Your tithing dollars are building mega-mosques at home and - indirectly - supporting Hamas-aligned networks abroad. This isn’t compassion. It’s dangerous, one-sided enabling of the ideology now infiltrating red-state Utah. See the full report: meforum.org/church-of-latt…

Fun Fact: Kars4Kids is a charity organization that buys underprivileged kids "their first car" using donations, you may have seen their ads on TV (which give the impression they help all kids)—what they don't tell you is they only donate to Jewish children, its literally a scam. Tons of Jewish charities/organizations operate exactly like this (this is why the NYC welfare fraud is so bad) for example Jews build enclaves/neighborhoods (not to mention straight up stealing land/homes) then siphon all the money to Jewish only schools (leaving the public schools destitute) way more people need to hear about this stuff.

Hoe Math speaks the truth no boomer can stomach and every jew lives to conceal. This will be looked back upon as the most total degrading slavery ever imposed. Not least because it was imposed on the greatest and most otherwise limitless.

Yes, white men in 2026 are a great deal more oppressed than black men in 1826. Black men in 1826 were given free food and housing. White men in 2026 are denied resources as aggressively as possible. Black men in 1826 had a place to escape to. White men in 2026 face a global institutionalized genocide with nowhere safe to run. Black men in 1826 were thought of as inferior and forced into the lowest social class. White men in 2026 are again institutionally portrayed as inferior, forced into the lowest rung of society, told that we have no right to exist, are labeled with words like "Nazi" which means "worst possible person," and we are imprisoned and killed if we try to speak up about this. Black men in 1826 would be safe and well-fed if they did what they were told. White men in 2026, even if we do what we are told, we can be attacked in our homes by blacks and illegals who are not supposed to be in our countries at all, and if we defend ourselves the law will throw the book at us. We are not allowed to even be safe and at peace even if we slavishly obey. Black men in 1826 eventually grew into the wealthiest group of blacks in the world. White men in 2026 are going extinct in our own countries while being forced to pay for Somalians to have 20 kids apiece. I could go on, and you know this very well. Once again, you were already aware of all of these things, and you are pretending not to be because you are a stupid, evil, dirty rat, and you are emotionally, financially, and genetically committed to assisting in White genocide, having what looks to be a Chinese wife and kids. You only make yourself look stupid by trying to deny it.

Tinder’s co-founder admitted the swipe was modeled on B.F. Skinner’s pigeon experiments. Skinner gave pigeons food at random intervals. The pigeons pecked compulsively, believing their behavior caused the reward. Badeen saw that study and built a dating app on it. 1.6 billion swipes per day. 90 minutes of average daily use. Eleven logins. A male match rate of 0.6%, which means one match per 167 swipes. The behavioral loop works exactly as Skinner predicted. Match Group made $3.5 billion last year. Their paying subscribers declined seven quarters in a row while revenue per payer climbed 17%. The people who find someone leave. The people still looking pay more. The product is optimized for the second group. A gala had the opposite incentive. The host’s reputation rose when people connected. The app’s revenue rises when they don’t. We replaced a system designed to bring people together with a system designed to keep them searching.

Nike didnt go broke solely because of "woke" For decades Nike had incredible ground game in their limited edition releases and true "word on the street" from an enormous base of die hard customers then they changed their distribution model to more DTC, screwed over all their long time independent vendors and partners, removed all the mystique around their new releases, and the quality dropped at the same time
Coddled Affluent Professional@feelsdesperate

It’s really sad what happened to Nike. They went woke and now they’re broke. I never see people wearing their shoes at the gym. They tried to appeal to an imaginary audience that doesn’t exist and then were surpassed by a bunch of other brands.
