There are massive protests happening in Iran right now and I'm genuinely confused why this isn't leading every news outlet. People are risking their lives in the streets right now, and the world is barely watching. That's worth questioning.

China’s normal oil consumption is around 16 million barrels per day (bpd), making it the second-largest consumer globally after the U.S. BUT: · Since March 2025, China has been adding close to 1 million barrels per day (bpd) to its reserves, according to Gunvor and IEA estimates. · Bernstein reports China has added ~100 million barrels this year, bringing total reserves to 1.38 billion barrels, equal to 112 days of import cover. · China’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) currently holds about 500 million barrels, and Beijing plans to add another 150 million barrels while Brent remains below $70. Commercial storage is also expanding: 11 new sites with 169 million barrels capacity are under construction through 2026. Makes you wonder why are they stockpiling so much oil?

@Jabuyers @JayGenXer @chansoo Dont forget that you would pay 2-4% tax on property in Texas. For a $1.2M property, its between $24,000-$48,000 in tax annually.

The Federal government’s Under Utilized Housing tax was projected to collect $200M in taxes. So far it’s collected $49M and cost CRA $59M to administer. Homeowners are spending more than $500 in accounting fees just to remain compliant. advisor.ca/tax/tax-news/u…

@AmericanCdn @BenRabidoux I understand that Alberta is absorbing that many people because of affordability issue but those provinces are seeing 10x more population growth from out of the country still.

@Bitter_Money @BenRabidoux Interprovincial migration != Immigration. The above is net figures for people moving from one province to another, not outside Canada to Canada. While total population grew in each province by far larger figures, net interprov seems to show ppl seeking better housing per $

You don't have to guess where 🇨🇦 housing is (relatively) affordable. Just look at the inter-provincial population flows...

Dividends as % of Total YTD Capital Returns vs YTD Performance Including Dividends -The median YTD performance for companies on this list that distributed 50%+ of their capital in terms of dividends is ~ 11%, while less than 50% is ~10.5%. However, the median YTD performance for companies that distributed 75%+ of their capital in terms of dividends is only 7%, while those companies that distributed 75% of their capital in terms of buybacks have a median YTD return of ~16%. 🤷‍♂️ #oott
