@stephenomenal Shit happens. It's why toilet paper is readily available. Menstruation also happens. Leave sanitary products freely available in bathrooms. It isn't rocket science.

#Swans #HampsteadHeath It is illegal for any person to intentionally or recklessly disturb any wild bird while it is building a nest or is in, on or near a nest containing eggs or young; or disturb dependent young of such a bird. rspb.org.uk/birds-and-wild…

This is what entitlement looks like! 🤬 There are nesting waterbirds on this pond on Hampstead Heath... there are also big 'No Swimming' signs, all being totally ignored! 🤬 Pure selfishness... 😒🤬🤬 (Shared from Instagr*m with permission from 'swansofhampsteadheath')

There are two swimming ponds, a model boating pond and a lido on Hampstead Heath park. And there’s this no swimming, no dogs, bird sanctuary pond. Absolutely no excuse for this behaviour. The signs are massive.

A woman on my flight yesterday switched seats with her husband because their toddler wouldn’t stop crying. The second she sat down alone, she closed her eyes for maybe 30 seconds. Just resting. Not sleeping. When the husband walked past with the kid later, he laughed and said loudly, “Must be nice to finally get a break from doing nothing.” A few people chuckled. She laughed too. But something about it felt off because for the entire flight she had been: holding the baby, packing snacks, cleaning spills, walking him down the aisle, missing her own meal trying to calm him down… while the husband watched a movie with headphones on. And honestly I think that’s why so many women are exhausted. Not because they’re doing everything alone. But because they’re doing everything while someone else calls it “nothing.”

If you see this photo, please leave a comment! 😊 This is a Swift, a very difficult bird to photograph at the best of times, but even tougher when low-flying, so I was thrilled to get this pic! 😀😍 Have you seen Swifts this spring yet? 🐦

Now there's a very, very good question. Thames Water have now admitted that they are not treating (dousing) their sewage for phosphate due to a "supply issue". That by the way has a massive and negative impact on water quality and aquatic life. Funny they didn't mention any of that until they were called out on it. How many other WCs I wonder are having supply issues?
Paul Jennings@PJennings88

The @RiverChess test the Chess for phosphate levels and surprised to discover levels of up 1.99ppm at the @thameswater Chesham STW. A spokesman said “Due to a supply issue affecting one of the treatment chemicals" they were unable to fully treat effluent. Reported to @EnvAgency

@WorldScholar_ A notable fact about the Winchester cathedral is ; In the early 1900s, the cathedral was saved from sinking into unstable ground by diver William Walker, who spent six years working underwater in the foundations, an act now commemorated with a statue.
