No analysis of Starmer’s unpopular start should have ignored that because it’s real and it’s significant. Journalistic enquiry shouldn’t be so blinkered.

@BarryStill2 @lewis_goodall @Channel4 The difference for me isn't political necessarily; it's that Johnson & Truss were beneath contempt for different reasons which should be obvious, whereas I believe Starmer is a decent, conscientious man who is doing his best for the UK (despite his misguided support for Israel)

the part they left out: these dogs were stolen for the dog meat trade in Jilin, China. Jilin province has 50+ slaughterhouses. they escaped from a moving truck, formed a defensive formation around an injured german shepherd, and a corgi navigated them 17km home over 2 days. they were all neighborhood dogs who played together every day. they all made it back. China still has no national ban on dog meat, but Shenzhen banned it in 2020.
