Today, leaders from around the world gathered to pay their final tribute to His Holiness Pope Francis. I had good exchanges with several of them.

Dear @ZelenskyyUa, Europe will always stand by Ukraine in the pursuit of peace.
 You can count on our support at the negotiating table to achieve a just and lasting peace. 
Today, we also discussed the steps Ukraine is taking to earn its place in our family of nations.

Today we come together to honour a man who led with kindness, peaceful strength and compassion. His Holiness Pope Francis reminded us that love must reach the margins, and he embraced the less fortunate. The displaced. The forgotten. The voiceless. He called on us to care for each other, and for the Earth we all share. His legacy is one of mercy, justice, and hope. It will continue to light the way. Pope Francis built bridges. May we walk them.

Today, the world mourns the passing of Pope Francis. He inspired millions, far beyond the Catholic Church, with his humility and love so pure for the less fortunate. My thoughts are with all who feel this profound loss. May they find solace in the idea that Pope Francis’ legacy will continue to guide us all toward a more just, peaceful and compassionate world.

The heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising fought for freedom & dignity in the face of unimaginable horror. Like many across Poland today, we hold a daffodil in remembrance of their bravery. Their memory compels us to stand firm against antisemitism and hatred in all its forms.
