Hi, I'm bleeptrack and I love generative stuff of all sorts! I create generative art for exhibitions & events and experiment a lot with materials and machines: stickers, fabric, pen plotters, CNC milled wood, 3D printing or PCBs! I also love to give Workshops and Talks!

So, let's try and revive my #schnipsel drawings. Week started slightly ill but developed into a cool week with lot's of new things and work on different generators.

@taxilof Yeah that's the confusing part. E-ink is marketing it as full color but on all distribution websites it is stated with 6 colors. Wondering if e-ink has some closed source software magic that enables more?

@Bleeptrack Yes! Just made me think, it would be fun to make a complex-ish system with a small number of wide open parameters, then let a couple different artists zero in on their preferred ranges

Here's a quick screen recording of one of the hundreds of output folders from this system. I am always tweaking logic and variables, defining the parameter space is half the art in my opinion. I've been working with this same larger system in one way or another since 2018, always iterating. Rituals and Passages share this lineage. I trust in the PRNG gods, which means I let chance control the final output and don't do post-processing. For the Catalina diptych I widened the parameters for the background color to ensure transparent areas that would let the texture of the metal sing.

Maybe it's the small things. Choosing your favorite pen. Seeing ink dry. Blowing the rubber dust off the page.

While I really enjoy using my e-reader for note taking, recently I had the urge to go back to a physical sketchbook. Both ways of note taking have their pros and cons and I enjoy both. But currently I really need the feeling of flipping through pages.

Love my black Rotring ink! Rich pigments, dries super fast, document-proof and fully waterproof. But also... will instantly dry on my tip. 😐
