@BlessedlyBound @WWUTTcom You don’t have to feel or guess at anything. It says why. It was to set apart Israelites from Canaanites and others they lived near in order to build discipline and community. When all are united in Christ, no one is set apart and there is no need for this distinction.

Clean animals in Genesis 7:2 were for sacrifices. Genesis 9:3 says, “Every moving thing shall be food for you”—every animal. John 1:17 says, “For the law was given through Moses.” Levitical dietary laws did not exist before. Jesus declared all foods clean (Mark 7:19).

If the past few years have taught us anything, its that no matter how serious, impeccable or theological an individual or organization presents itself to be, that is not the measure of their trustworthiness, as the major falls of recent years clearly shows. Men are looking leaders who speak plainly, are willing to make mistakes, and walk in the light. Not in fretting over perfect public image. Dont take me as saying those things don't matter. But its clearly not enough.

The very thought of this command grates upon fleshly thinking. Like Moses transferring authority to Joshua, when Christ gave authority to His apostles, it enabled them to make binding commandments.

Does scripture require women to wear head coverings in worship? I’m looking to host this debate very soon. But I need a debater! Question for Christians that love Israel and are interested in the Jewishness of Jesus. Which church would you consider visiting, and why? 1. A Messianic Jewish Synagogue with a Hebrew name, a Jewish star logo, on a Saturday, led by a Messianic Jewish Rabbi 2. A Christian Church with an English name, a cross and a Jewish star as the logo, on a Sunday, led by a Pastor who is a Jewish Christian. Assume everything else is the same, including their statements of faith.

Old-earth creationism is often a first step toward theological liberalism, because it deploys the same moves as theological liberalism. It tries to squeeze Genesis 1–2 into a secular humanist cosmology, which means the secular story is the controlling framework, and the Bible gets reworked to fit into it. That’s the same move liberalism makes with the resurrection, the virgin birth, the atonement, etc. It’s also the move liberals make with homosexuality and women as church officers/preachers. The plain reading of the text is discarded for no better reason than "it doesn’t seem credible to modern people; it doesn't fit the 'science;' it would make us seem ridiculous in the eyes of the secular world," etc.

Make no mistake about it, what Dale Partridge is calling for requires an armed insurrection, and at the end of that bloody conflict, 100 million Americans will be dead. Why don't we love our neighbors instead, and preach the Gospel to them and convert them to Christianity so that they can know the love and mercy of God?

The next episode of Let the Scriptures Speak will premiere at 4:00pm EST Oh the Riches and Majesty of Our Awesome God Romans 11:33-36, Isaiah 40 and Job 35:1-7 After some time between episodes we come back to Romans 11 in order to take care of some unfinished business. At the end of the chapter the Apostle offers a benediction by quoting from Isaiah 40:13 and Job 35:7. The task today is to go back and review those references because when we do we realize that Paul's benediction is more akin to a doxology as he struggles to find words to describe the ways and majesty of God as He works out His will within the created order.
