The Selke has been awarded 20 times in the post lockout era. All 20 of those winners were top six scorers and/or the best offensive player on their team. The Selke is officially for the best defensive forward but in reality it always goes to high end scorers who also happen to be good defensively. You'll never see the Selke go to a guy like Amadio, even if they deserve it.

@ModernTrailhead @flowsdoc So what you’re saying is the fielder versus player who is technically no longer involved in the play. Why the hell wouldn’t the advantage go to the fielder?

@flowsdoc So if the runner stays up it's interference, if the runner gets low it's interference, if the runner slides but not soon enough or too soon it's interference, if the 2B throws too low it's interference. Seems like every scenario favors the fielder in this play.

Thought a not guilty verdict in the Hockey Canada trial was likely because it’s easy to have reasonable doubt in cases like these. The statements the judge is making in her decision seem really strange to me, though. Over the line and seemingly callous.

@NikLynam @hangarhockey The biggest thing this year to previous years. He’s getting 3+ more minutes per game which inflates numbers. But his shooting % isn’t insane compared to previous years, just willing to take a lot more shots
