You couldn't go a Sonic review without a critic mentioning 06 and how bad it is
06 is the reason why we didn't have playable characters till Final Horizon
06 is the reason people thought all 3D Sonic games were bad until Colors and Generations
06 hurt the franchise so bad. It's why I'm baffled that this is the game that gets the revisionist history.

People forget that the reason Sonic 06 was so infamous is because it was clearly meant to be Sonic Team's next step into the gaming landscape and they failed spectacularly at it. It changed the landscape of Sonic for years because Sega could not get that momentum back.

I keep saying that Sonic 3, in terms of their own Movie Universe will have MASSIVE Lingering geological
AND Societal effects due to Sonic and Shadow's super battle, the Moon Splitting, the public exposure of the Eclipse Cannon, the Robotnik Conspiracy and chaos energy, as well earth experiencing shifts due to all of that and the Eclipse Cannon's Destruction. Things are gonna change massively with Sonic 4

Sonic and Shadow most likely caused 4,000 earthquakes and a permanent 3-degree tilt in the Earth's axis just by pushing that volcano 3 inches to the side. This wasn't a fight, it was a geological event.
