I think the market doesn't like Nu's expansion to US, they don't believe it can be successful. Especially, once they start ramping up marketing and lending, they will lose billions in the first few years. Margins will go down, especially the blended NIM, as spreads are lower in the US. Also, the net margin for a few years. If they don't grow earnings in LATAM fast enough, the stock will suffer.

$NU and $DLO are down a lot in the past week.
Both report earnings today, and investors clearly expect misses, yet that seems unlikely.
$MELI showed insane top-line growth, so I think $NU and $DLO will deliver strong beats.

I’m sorry $ASTS holders — the story here is in fact not as compelling as $RKLB at the moment. $RKLB is proven: record $200M+ Q1 revenue, $2.2B backlog, 100% recent launch success, and steadily taking market share in dedicated smallsat launches + space systems. $ASTS remains speculative — just $14.7M revenue, still racing to deploy the constellation before real commercial scale kicks in. Different risk profiles. Both have huge long-term shots, but $RKLB is delivering now. 🚀

$ASTS is down over 12% because the market still struggles to value what the company is trying to build in the new space economy.
They're trying to turn satellites into cell towers in space by letting normal phones connect directly to coverage without a dish, special hardware or new SIM card.
Instead of selling directly to consumers, it sells satellite capacity to carriers meaning AST essentially provides the sky and carriers provide the customer relationship.
The upside is a global coverage layer built on top of the existing mobile ecosystem.
