🇧🇪 Belgium just convicted Dries Van Langenhove for “hate speech” because he linked mass migration to crime and social decline during a university lecture using statistics and scientific sources. The judge openly admitted the facts themselves were not false. That’s the terrifying part. The ruling basically says you can still be punished even when what you say is true, if the government decides your framing is politically unacceptable. He’s already spent over €420,000 fighting these cases and says more prosecutions are coming. Welcome to Europe Source: @DVanLangenhove

1/ The rise in the price cap because of a war we did not choose is deeply unwelcome news for households across the country. We know people were under pressure before this crisis, and that’s why easing that burden is our number one priority.

Among the most serious weather warnings on X today comes from a very clever young messiah. He is up and coming and unusual, in that he gives daily weather forecasts 26 years in the future. The odd thing is this, his forecast for that third Sunday in August can't be right. My dear old grannie says it will be raining on that long weekend. So, who is right? Peter Tatchell, or my grannie? If you win, I will provide a free cake and a nice cup of tea. Be at my place, just after the Rock Falls which are due later the same month, just in case Tatchell is correct. (He usually is you know). My money is on grannie.

The 1976 UK heatwave was one of the most intense, prolonged periods of high temperatures in British history, lasting from 23 June to 27 August 1976. But no one blamed cow farts and the weather maps certainly didn’t look like a volcano had erupted over Britain.

An Inconvenient Truth for climate alarmists: Al Gore’s dramatic climate warnings shaped a generation — but 20 years later, the data tell a very different story. Climate-related deaths are down 97% over the past century, polar bears more than doubled since the 1960s, and global burned area has decreased by more than 25% over the past quarter century. That's hardly a success of climate policy though: fossil fuels still provide 81% of world energy, emissions keep rising, and $16 trillion+ spent on green policies since Gore's movie came out hasn’t changed the trajectory. A good reminder that panic is a terrible policy adviser. newsweek.com/data-vs-drama-…

The level of ignorance here regarding climate change is simply astonishing. This is an existential threat to the human species and yet there are still some saying things like, "It's summer" and "Just a hot day" or "warmer when I was young" Incredible!
RS Archer@archer_rs

Apparently climate change is a myth.

Rupert Lowe calls Reform UK ‘the cult of Nigel’. He has some nerve. Restore Britain is an insane cult of personality. The crank right’s homoerotic fawning over ‘Crusader’ Lowe is truly mortifying. It would make Kim Jong Un wince, says Brendan O’Neill buff.ly/DbiUXiS

The Met Office says Kenley Airfield just broke the record for the highest May overnight temperature. 🌡️ But guess when the previous record was set? 1944. Think about it: 1944: Global CO2 was ~310 ppm. 2026: CO2 is much higher, yet we barely beat an 82-year-old record. This isn’t a CO2 crisis... it’s the Urban Heat Island effect! In 1944, Kenley was a rural airfield. Today, it’s surrounded by the massive concrete and asphalt sprawl of Greater London, which traps daytime heat and radiates it at night. It’s urbanization, not global warming.
Met Office@metoffice

We’ve provisionally recorded the UK’s highest daily minimum temperature for May on record 🌡️ Temperatures didn’t fall below 19.4°C at Kenley Airfield overnight, provisionally breaking the previous May record of 18.9°C set back in 1944

Today's temperatures are almost 10 degrees cooler than the entire Phanerozoic, since 541 million years ago. The temperature average is 18-26 degrees. Currently, it is 15 degrees. This reflects a rise of around 1.4 degrees in the 175 years since the end of the little ice age in Europe, in 1850. Earth has been in the late Cenozoic ice age for 34 million years, since the glaciation of Antarctica. It is still glaciated today. For the past 2.58 million years, Earth has been in the Quaternary glaciation, cycles of frozen climates with brief warm interglacial periods, which we have been in for 11,700 years. Coal has been used for warmth for several thousand years, and is a big part of the reason we have modern life at all. The entire catastrophic nature of the campaign of fear and distorted science is only 38 years old. It has fractured world stability and led to trillions of dollars being shifted away from sovereign nations in a feeding frenzy of hysteria - that has no scientific validity. This deliberate deception is costing the world $9.2 trillion a year, and should reach $275 trillion by 2050. It is the greatest Ponzi scheme in modern history.

@williamnhutton Maybe the answer is we pay more taxes that will make the weather much better, the wealthier more wealthy and the poor more poor. Those fools you refer to are smart enough to know your game, call yourself a political economist, you most certainly are that 🤣🤣

Typical uneducated Politician’s response, “Prices are up because of the war in Iran” my goodness learn about sound money and economics, stop this waffle… The harsh reality is that the Iran war has near to zero effect on UK inflation over the long term. This is down to out of control money printing funneled into asset speculation, endless government debt, and runaway social welfare spending. Understand Non productive money printing waste doesn’t grow the economy, it just makes everything more expensive for working people. Stop blaming wars. Fix the money and spending and read some books please!!

@southb72 Why has the price gone up? Because of the War in Iran - a war that your leader was cheerleading. I’m glad the Labour Party has kept us out and is focusing on keeping the cost of living down, not war in the Middle East.

Honestly, I’m sick and tired of grown adults calling the climate crisis a hoax. It’s not even a debate, the science has been settled for decades. Your ignorance is not just embarrassing, it is actively destroying the planet and every living thing on it.

Get ready, this is what happens when corrupt politicians bypass environmental and social impact assessments. And the worst is these data centres are being built via our taxes and investments to place everyone of us into a digital prison. Learn from the mistakes of others 👇 x.com/wallstreetapes…

AI data centres have been designated as critical national infrastructure and have been prioritised for grid connection. There are now 100+ projects in the UK planning pipeline, with 30ish already approved or moving into build. The grid queue requirement for datacenters is aprox 99GW of demand in a country that uses under 35GW at any one time.

You can smell the net zero scam. It was never about ‘saving the planet’ We get higher bills, petrol car bans, carbon taxes and heat pumps… Whilst AI datacentres are preparing to burn gas on site because the grid can’t cope with demand. fossil fuels are unacceptable for us… but perfectly fine for Big Tech server farms powering our digital prison 🔥

The Berwick Bank offshore wind farm off Scotland's east coast has been approved. Conservation groups warn it could become the deadliest wind farm for seabirds ever built. The government's own impact assessments predict large numbers of bird deaths, including puffins, kittiwakes, gannets, guillemots and razorbills. The site sits beside internationally important seabird feeding grounds in the North Sea. Despite the objections, the project was just awarded subsidies that will add £1.8 billion in green levies to UK energy bills. The RSPB called the decision "an absolute disgrace," saying public money is being used to fund one of the most damaging wind farms for wildlife on earth. This is the contradiction. Nature is being sacrificed, supposedly in the name of saving it.
