I don't know what it's going to take for more Americans to realize what a disastrous failure in judgment it made in November 2024. None of this needed to be happening. I'm not a Democrat, but it must take a mind-controlling insane amount of hatred for Democrats to take a look at the phoniness, the criminality, the ignorance, the cluster B pathologies, the gross incompetency, and the self-serving grift of Donald Fucking Trump and think you're looking at a legitimate president. History won't even treat him as a president and might have to reassign presidential numbers.
A complete failure of responsible adult citizenship on the part of far too many.

The US delegation is now meeting with the dictator of Belarus, a country with a GDP smaller than the US state of Vermont. Putin needs the US to take sanctions off Belarus to use it as a conduit for western technology for the Russian war machine. The US gains absolutely nothing, but surely the Trump family will make billions from the coming arrangement.

•Blew up the Iran Nuclear Deal despite Iran's compliance
•Sanctioned & bombed Iran, claiming he destroyed their nuclear program

Farmlands continue to lose much of their wildlife, bees, birds, insects, amphibians. But each generation measures "normal" nature against what existed in their childhood; not what existed before.
So we don't mourn the Auroch, Quagga, Eastern Elk, or drained wetland. We never knew them. We each inherit a slightly emptier world & call it normal, a shifting baseline syndrome.
Humans are remarkably adaptive... dangerously so.

Very disappointed by the @nytimes framing here. Two allies of the Russian economy had their sanctions lifted, using the pretense of the oil price. Lifting sanctions on these two individuals will not make any difference to world oil prices. Its ludicrous and a gift to Putin
